Children & Young People

Children & young people are really important to us here at St Leonard's and we seek to make our Sunday services and church life as accessible as we can for families.

There are plenty of exciting and enjoyable activities to help support parents as they seek to nurture their children and encourage them in their faith. See below for more details.

Children and young people at St Leonard's Wollaton

Sunday Worship at 10am

You’re welcome to come and join us for any of our services but the 10am service on Sunday is especially well geared up for families. Other than on the 1st Sunday of the month, when we have an All-age service together in church, we have a number of children and young people's groups running every week:

Seedlings - A pre-schoolers group for those between 18 months and 4 years old

Shoots - For those between 5 and 11

Roots - For those between 11 and 18*

For infants under 18 months old we have our Noah's Ark area within church equipped with toys and activites along with baby changing facilities in the toilets.

Roots youth groupThese groups are a great place for our children and young people to have fun and enjoy friendship together, learn about what it means to follow Jesus, and grow deeper in their relationship with him.

Usually we start our services with everyone together in the church before the children and young people leave for their groups so just come along to church for 10am.

*To give our young people more quality time together ”Roots” also meets in the afternoon between 4–5.45pm on the 1st Sunday of the month in the Community Centre.
